Women’s Cross Country Finishes 11th at Codfish Bowl

BOSTON, MA – The Merrimack women’s cross country team raced to an 11th-place finish at the Codfish Bowl on Saturday at Franklin Park.

Sophomore Katie Meagher (Mansfield, MA) was the team’s top runner for the third straight meet, finishing 36th in a time of 20:10.6. She posted the third best time among Northeast-10 runners.

Other notable runners included Christina Fisher (Mansfield Center, CT), who was 52nd in 20:33.1 and Jennifer Richard (Wendell, MA), who was 63rd overall in 20:43.5.

Stony Brook University captured the event, with Greater Boston TC placing second. The Warriors were second among the three competing Northeast-10 schools, with Bentley placing fifth overall.

The Warriors will race in the New England Championships on October 10.
