COLCHESTER, VT – The Merrimack women’s cross country
team raced to an eighth-place finish at the Northeast-10
Championships Saturday at Saint Michael’s College.
UMass Lowell won the meet, with Stonehill, Saint Rose and Bentley
rounding out the top four.
Ashley Sarris was the top Warrior runner,
finishing 13th in a time of 19:28. Other Merrimack runners included
Katelyn Meagher (43rd, 20:24), Jackie
Chase (52nd, 20:38), Janelle Hickey
(75th, 21:14), and Jennifer Richard (88th, 21:31).
Sarris was named to the NE-10 All-Conference second team for her
performance.
Bentley’s Melissa Nash captured the event in a time of
18:19.
The Warriors will compete in the Northeast Regionals on November
9th.
