Women’s Cross Country Places Seventh Saturday

BOSTON, MA – The Merrimack women’s cross country team raced to a seventh-place finish Saturday at the Codfish Bowl.

As a team, Merrimack was seventh of 16 teams with a score of 226 points. The Greater Boston Track Club was the team champion, with 21 points, and Adelphi, first amongst collegiate teams, was second overall with 67.

Katelyn Meagher was the Warriors’ top runner, finishing 36th in 20:34. Ashley Sarris was 49th (21:12), Jennifer George 65th (21:440), Jennifer Richard 66th (21:46), and Caitlin Kasala-Hall (69th) 21:51.

The Warriors are off next week and will race in the New England Championships on October 11th at Franklin Park in Boston.
