Four Named to USTFCCCA Division II Womens Cross Country All-Academic Team

NEW ORLEANS, LA. - Alison O’Brien (South Windsor, CT), Jacquelyn Chase (Methuen, MA), Jennifer Richard (Wendell, MA), and Laura Beatty (Marston Mills, MA) have been named to the USTFCCA Division II Cross Country All-Academic team.

To qualify for the individual All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have completed 24 semester hours and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. The student-athletes must also finish in the top 30 percent of individual participants at their respective regional cross-country championships.

In addition, the men’s cross country team received a team academic award from the USTFCCA. Teams must have competed at the NCAA Division II regional championship and have a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Warriors were one of 100 teams honored.

The women’s cross country team was also honored in 2006-07, as were O’Brien and Chase as individual winners.
