Women's Cross Country Wins Shacklette Invitational Saturday

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- The Merrimack women's cross country team cruised to a first-place finish Saturday at the Shacklette Invitational.

The women routed their competition, winning the event by 39 points. Led by Laura Beatty (Martson Mills, MA), Merrimack runners finished second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth to easily pull away from its competitors.

The cross country team continues its fall season at the Codfish Bowl in Boston, MA next Saturday.
