Warriors Women's Cross Country Team Places Fourth at Amherst Invitational

AMHERST, MA - The Merrimack College women's cross country team placed fourth this weekend in the Amherst Invitational. The Warriors earned a total of 119 points, behind Amherst College's 20, Springfield College's 85, and Wheaton College's 101.

Bryant University's Nicole Radzik finished the five kilometer race ahead of the pack with her time of 19:52.1, nearly 30 seconds ahead of second place. Merrimack's top runner was Katelyn Meagher (Mansfield, MA), who placed 16th with a time of 21:42.5, and was closely followed by teammates Alison O'Brien (South Windsor, CT) and Jennifer Richard (Wendell, MA), whose times of 21:50.8 and 22:11.7 placed them 19th and 21st, respectively.

Ashley Bock (Sutton, MA) finished the race in 24:23.8, which was good for 58th, while Jessica Maxner (Townsend, MA) came in 71st, with her time of 25:08.8.

The Warriors will return to action on Saturday when they will compete in the Saint Anselm Invitational.
