Four Named to All-Conference Team; Pacis Repeats as Coach of the Year

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Four volleyball players earned
Northeast-10 All-Conference honors, including two first-team
selections, while Joey Pacis repeated as the Coach
of the Year.
Molly Cindric (Westlake Village, CA) and captain
Ale Kuncaitis (Canton, MA) earned first-team
honors.
Cindric, a three-time Northeast-10 Player of the Week this season
and last year’s NE-10 Freshman of the Year, is second in the
conference, averaging 3.4 kills per game. She leads the Warriors
with 320 kills and 58 blocks. This is her second first-team
selection in as many years. Kuncaitis, who was a third-team
selection last year, is second on the team in kills and digs.
Sophomore Elyse Lorenz (Frankfort, IL) was named
to the second team. Lorenz is second in the conference in assists
per game with 10.15 and third in aces per game with .56. She has
tallied eight double-doubles and leads the team with 52 aces.
Sophomore libero Alyssa Pickert (Tinley Park, IL)
earned third-team honors. Pickert leads the Northeast-10 in digs
(489) and digs per game (5.20). A two-time NE-10 Libero of the
Week, she has also chipped in offensively with 18 service aces.
Pacis guided the Warriors to a 13-1 conference record and has them
in position for their second straight and career NCAA appearance.
Merrimack started the season 11-0 in the Northeast-10 for the first
time in school history and has not lost on the road this year. They
also won 20 games for the first time in school history while
advancing to their second-straight Northeast-10 Championship
match.
New Haven’s Rhe-Ann Niles earned Player of the Year Honors,
while AIC’s Ellisha Terry was the Freshman of the Year.
Cassie Kraft from Bentley was named Libero of the Year while Yael
Rosner of New Haven earned Setter of the Year Honors. All seven
first-team selections hail from New Haven, Bentley or Merrimack.
