
ALBANY, NY – The Merrimack volleyball team notched
its
17th win of the season Friday defeating Saint Rose in its
next-to-last conference regular season match.
Game scores were 25-22, 25-12, and 25-18.
The Warriors trailed early in the first but evened the score at 21 and scored four of the final five points to win the first, 25-22. In the second, they jumped out to a 12-2 lead and cruised from there.
Molly Cindric posted a double-double on 15
digs
and 12 kills and added four block assists and two service
aces.
Megan Murray chipped in with 10 kills, four
block
assists, one solo block and hit .474, while Elyse
Lorenz tallied 38 assists and five digs.
With the win, Merrimack clinches second place in the
Northeast-10
in the regular season. They will take on the seventh seed in
the
NE-10 Quarterfinals next Friday at Pace University. The
Warriors
are remarkably 10-0 on the road this season.
The Warriors (17-8, 12-1 NE-10) conclude regular season play
at
Le
Moyne College on Saturday at 12 p.m.
