Tuesday's Volleyball Match with New Haven to be Webcast Online

NORTH ANDOVER, MA - Tuesday's first-place showdown between Merrimack and New Haven will be webcast online courtesy of B2 Networks. The match begins at 7 p.m. with the webcast being available beginning at 6:50 p.m. Both teams have two games remaining following tonight’s match before the conference tournament, but tonight’s winner likely will be the conference champion.
New Haven is ranked first in the regional rankings, and Merrimack is fifth. The top eight teams advance to the NCAA Tournament.
The Warriors have not played since October 25, when they beat Stonehill 3-1 on Senior Day. They are 11-0 in conference for the first time in school history and have won 12 straight home NE-10 matches.
Against Stonehill, Ale Kuncaitis led the way with a double-double on 17 digs and 10 kills, while adding two service aces. Molly Cindric tallied 16 digs, 11 kills, four assists and four block assists. Lisa Barr had a team-high 12 kills and added seven digs and three block assists, while Megan Murray tallied 10 kills and four digs and hit .455. Setter Elyse Lorenz picked up 39 assists, 12 digs and four kills. The Warriors jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead, capped off with a 25-15 second set win. The Skyhawks wouldn’t quit as they rallied for a 26-24 third set win. The fourth set was tied at 23 but the Warriors rallied for two late points, led by Kuncaitis and Murray.
Cindric was named the Northeast-10 Player of the Week on October 20th and 27th. Lorenz (setter) and Alyssa Pickert (libero) also earned weekly awards on October 2th.
Following Tuesday's match, Merrimack heads to Saint Rose on Friday for a 7 p.m. match and Le Moyne on Saturday for a 12 p.m. match. The Northeast-10 Tournament, hosted by Pace University begins on November 14th.
