Volleyball Downs Southern NH 3-0; Now 10-0 in Conference for First Time Ever

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The Merrimack volleyball team defeated
Southern New Hampshire 3-0 Friday night at the Volpe Gym to improve
to 10-0 in conference play for the first time in school
history.
Game scores were 25-11, 25-15, 25-17.
Molly Cindric led the way with 12 kills, three
blocking assists and six digs, and committed just one attack error
for a .500 hitting percentage. Megan Murray added
nine kills, two solo blocks, and two blocking assists, while
Elyse Lorenz chipped in with 32 assists, nine digs
and five of Merrimack’s seven aces. Alyssa
Pickert totaled 24 of the team’s 54 digs.
Jamie Doerrier added five kills, while her
classmate, senior Ale Kuncaitis tallied nine digs
and five kills.
The Warriors forced the Penmen to commit 18 attack errors and
seven receiving errors.
Merrimack needs one more conference win to match the school record
of 11 NE-10 victories, which was set last season.
The Warriors (15-7, 10-0 NE-10) host Stonehill Saturday at 1 p.m.
Before the game, the team will honor its four seniors as part of
Senior Day.
