Volleyball Blanks Southern Connecticut 3-0; Now 7-0 in Conference
NEW HAVEN, CT – The Merrimack volleyball team improved to
7-0 in the conference with a 3-0 win over Southern Connecticut
Friday night.
Game scores were 26-24, 25-17, 25-23.
The Warriors battled back from a 24-17 deficit, scoring nine
unanswered points for the 26-24 win.
Libero Alyssa Pickert tallied 27 digs while
Molly Cindric added 14 kills and 11 digs in just
two games. Lisa Barr added seven kills and 11
digs, as Merrimack committed just eight attack errors in the final
two games.
Merrimack (12-7, 7-0 NE-10) has a quick turnaround to
Saturday’s match at Pace University beginning at 1 p.m. The
Setters will host the upcoming conference tournament.
