Volleyball Drops Two at NE-10/ECC Challenge

WALTHAM, MA – At the NE-10/ECC Challenge, the Merrimack
volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-1 matches to Queens and
Bridgeport.
Merrimack lost the first match to Queens, 27-25, 25-18, 22-25,
25-21, as Queens improved to 13-4 on the season.
Molly Cindric tallied a team-best 16 kills to go
with six digs and an ace. Elyse Lorenz notched a
double-double, on 28 assists and 11 digs and added a team-high five
block assists, while Ale Kuncaitis posted nine
digs, five assists and five kills. Megan Murray
added four service aces, two kills, two block assists, and one solo
block. Merrimack committed 32 errors and hit just .101 overall.
The Warriors lost to Bridgeport 25-17, 22-25, 25-21, 28-26.
Cindric posted a double-double on 13 kills and 10 digs, while
Lisa Barr posted 11 kills and nine digs. Four
Warriors were in double-digits in digs, led by 18 from Alyssa
Pickert. Heidi Wroblicky tallied a double-double
on 27 assists and 15 digs.
The Warriors (7-6, 2-0 NE-10) are back in action Wednesday night
against Saint Anselm at 7 p.m. at the Volpe Gym.
