Volleyball Blanks Saint Anselm 3-0
MANCHESTER, NH - The Merrimack volleyball team opened its regional play schedule with a 3-0 victory over Saint Anselm Wednesday night in what was a non-conference game between two conference foes.
Game scores were 25-9, 25-14, 25-12.
Ale Kuncaitis led the way with 10 digs and hit .240, while Alyssa Pickert added 18 digs. Elyse Lorenz tallied 32 assists and four aces as Merrimack hit .354 as a team, led by .875 from Kristin Applegate who registered seven kills in eight attempts.
Merrimack took advantage of 19 attack errors and eight serve errors by the Hawks.
The Warriors (2-3) will take on Georgian Court Friday night at 7 p.m. at UMass Lowell.
