Volleyball Advances To NE-10 Semifinals With 3-0 Win

WALTHAM, MA - The Merrimack College volleyball team earned a 3-0 win over UMass-Lowell in the opening round of the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament on Friday night at Bentley College.

Junior Ale Kuncaitis (Canton, MA) led the way for the Warriors with 14 kills and 13 digs. Sophomore Lisa Barr (Alberta, Canada) earned 10 kills and recorded eight digs, while freshman Elyse Lorenz (Frankfort, IL) helped out with 35 assists. Freshman Alyssa Pickett (Tinley Park, IL) tallied three aces and 19 digs, helping Merrimack earn the sweep.

The Warriors will return to action on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. when they square off against Bentley College in the semifinals. The winner of that contest will advance to face
