Volleyball Captures Pair of Matches Saturday

MANCHESTER, NH - The Merrimack volleyball team swept a pair of conference matches Saturday at Stoughtenburgh Gymnasium. The Warriors defeated Saint Anselm 3-0 (30-17, 30-21 and 30-13) and edged Franklin Pierce 3-2 (31-29, 30-17, 30-32, 28-30, 15-10).

Lisa Barr (Alberta, Canada) led the way with 13 kills, while hitting .481, while Molly Cindric (Westlake Village, CA ) added 11. Heidi Wroblicky (Irvine, CA) ran the offense, recording 26 assists. Four different Warriors including Wroblicky finished in double digits in digs.

In the second match, the Warriors started quickly with a two-set lead, but the Ravens forced the match to a fifth and decisive set, in which Merrimack prevailed 15-10

The Warriors (4-6, 3-1 NE-10) will host Assumption Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
