ITA Regionals Wrap-Up in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA - After the dust settled at Chestnut Hill College and Philadelphia University in the ITA Regionals, the tennis teams walked away with a pair of deep runs by men's sophomore Sean Pahler (Rumson, NJ) and women's senior Cristina Lucin (Wesley Chapel, FL) in their singles tournaments.

In doubles play, Liam Hoare (West Newbury, MA) and Pahler hooked up to go as far as the quarterfinals of the Men's B Doubles tournament with an 8-4 win.

In the Women's Singles A Tournament, Lucin raced to the round of sixteen with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Bryant's Couto Cuervo and a 6-0, 6-1 win over Concordia's Plevako.

On the men's side, Pahler picked up three wins (9-7, 8-5, 8-6) before falling in the semifinals of the Men's Singles B Tournament to Dan Sullivan of Le Moyne.

Freshman Chris Toegemann made a run through the Men's Singles B Tournament as well before falling to Pahler in a quarterfinal match-up, 8-6.
