Five Womens Tennis Players Named to All-Conference Team

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Five women’s tennis players
earned All-Conference honors as announced by the Northeast-10
Sunday.
Headlining the list is junior Christina Lucin (Wesley
Chapel, FL), who was named to the second-team singles in
the #2 position and first team doubles in the #2 slot. Lucin was
12-3 in #2 singles this season and teamed with Stellina
Saia (Wakefield, MA) in doubles to go 6-3. Saia was an
all-conference selection for doubles.
Amanda Carroll (Tewksbury, MA) earned third-team
honors at #3 singles. Carroll totaled a 12-2 record in #3
singles.
In addition to Saia and Lucin getting first-team doubles honors,
Courtney Garvey (Woburn, MA) and Elise
Dufour (Bristol, RI) were third-team doubles selections.
The pair teamed up for a 5-3 record in doubles this season.
Garvey was also named to the all-rookie team, after tallying a 5-3
record in singles this season.
Southern New Hampshire’s Amber Chandronnait was named the
Vern Cox Player of the Year, while Stonehill’s Leah White
earned Freshman of the Year honors. AIC’s Tyler Rockefeller
was the F. Paul Bogan Memorial Sportsmanship winner, and
Stonehill’s Pam Arpe was the Coach of the Year.
The Warriors finished the season 10-8 overall, 9-3 in the
Northeast-10, in fifth place.
