Women’s Tennis Downs Saint Anselm 6-3


MANCHESTER, NH – The Merrimack women’s tennis team picked up a 6-3 victory over Saint Anselm, marking its second win in as many days.

For the second straight day, the Warriors swept the doubles matches as Stellina Saia and Christina Lucin earned an 8-1 victory, while Courtney Garvey and Elise Dufour tallied an 8-2 win at #3 doubles.

Lucin blanked her opponent in #2 singles, winning 6-0, 3-0 (ret.) while Amanda Carroll sealed the victory with a 6-2, 6-3 victory.

The Warriors (9-6, 8-2 NE-10) complete a match with Franklin Pierce Friday at 3 p.m. at the Warrior Tennis Courts before taking on Saint Michael’s Saturday at 12 p.m. in their final regular season match.
