Saia, Garvey Earn Northeast-10 Weekly Honors

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Stellina Saia (Wakefield, MA) was named the Northeast-10 Player of the Week Tuesday, while Courtney Garvey (Woburn, MA) earned Freshman of the Week honors.

Playing in the #2 doubles position and the #4 singles spot, Saia won her singles match 6-2, 6-1 and her doubles match 8-1.

Garvey, in the #3 doubles position and #5 singles spot, won her singles match 10-7 and her doubles match 8-3, leading Merrimack to an 8-1 victory over Pace.

The Warriors (2-0, 2-0 NE-10) return to action on March 16 against Philadelphia University in Orlando, Florida.
