Gramprey, Pino Headline Northeast-10 All-Conference Team

EASTON, MA – Helping Merrimack to its 25th straight 10-win
season and a home playoff contest on Sunday, six Warriors on the
women’s soccer team were named to the 2009 Northeast-10
All-Conference team, it was announced on Friday.
Senior captain Gabrielle Gramprey (Brockton, MA)
earned First Team All-Conference honors for her team-leading 33
points on 13 goals and seven assists. On the year, Gramprey became
the 11th member of the 100-point club and also the first 30-goal,
30-assist scorer since 2005.
Freshman Jenn Pino (North Andover, MA), who also
appeared in all 19 games, received All-Rookie team recognition
after leading all Merrimack first-years with six assists.
Also among the honorees was junior defender Lindsey deMont
(Littleton, MA) on the Second Team with six assists in 18
starts and 19 appearances.
On the All-Conference Third Team was senior midfielder
Jackie Vickers (Norwell, MA), and juniors
Jessie DeGraan (Braintree, MA) and Kerri
Domohowski (Saugus, MA).
“Ultimately these awards are a reflection of the
team’s effort and success over the course of the year,”
said Head Coach Gabe Mejail upon hearing of the
individual players accomplishments. “It is nice to see these
players recognized by other coaches in the league, and it’s a
testament to the hard work they put in on the practice
field.”
The Warriors hope to keep their season alive on Sunday when they
host the fifth-seeded Panthers of Adelphi University on Sunday at
1:00pm on Warrior Field.
