Goalie Gustafson Nets NE-10 Keeper of the Week

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – With a season-high 11 saves amid a 1-0-1 week for the Merrimack women’s soccer team, senior captain Brittany Gustafson (East Hampton, CT) was named the Northeast-10 Conference Goalie of the Week on Monday.

Helping Merrimack improve to 9-3-2 on the season, Gustafson—in her first season in goal—posted a pair of shut-outs against Saint Anselm (2-0) and New Haven (0-0 [2ot]).

In the 2-0 win over the Hawks, Gustafson tallied a season- and career-best 11 saves before stopping five shots in 110 scoreless minutes against the Chargers.

The Warriors look for their 25th straight season with ten-plus wins on Wednesday at 11-3 (9-2 NE-10) Franklin Pierce University.
