Conway Named to First Team All-Region by Daktronics

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Senior captain Jennifer Conway (Douglas, MA) was named to the Daktronics East Region First Team, marking the first time she was selected to an all-region team in her career.

A first-team all-conference selection, Conway anchored the Warrior defense this season, limiting opponents to just 20 goals in 18 games. The Warriors’ defense has allowed just three goals in its last seven games.

Junior forward Gabrielle Gramprey (Brockton, MA) was named to the all-region second team. Gramprey leads the Warriors in every offensive category, tallying 13 goals, eight assists, 34 points, 46 shots and five game-winners. This is Gramprey’s second all-region selection in as many years.

Franklin Pierce’s Angelika Johannson, the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year, earned the All-Region Player of the Year.

Merrimack takes on Bridgeport in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at 1 p.m. at C.W. Post.
