Rowan Named NE-10 Goaltender of the Week

SOUTH EASTON, MA – Senior goaltender Shannon Rowan (Fair Haven, NJ) was named the Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week Monday.

Rowan did not allow a goal in two games this past week, stopping ten shots in 180 minutes of play. She recorded five saves in the 2-0 shutout victory versus Stonehill and made five stops in the 1-0 shutout win against Southern New Hampshire.

She has earned shutouts in five of her last six matches.

Merrimack (10-2-2, 8-2-1 NE-10) can clinch home-field advantage in the Northeast-10 Quarterfinals with a win against Assumption Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Warrior Field. Before the game, the Warriors’ four seniors will be honored as part of Senior Day.
