
MANCHESTER, NH – Kerri Domohowski (Saugus,
MA) scored a first-half goal giving the Merrimack
women’s soccer team, ranked 24th nationally and third in the
region the 1-0 win over Southern New Hampshire Saturday
afternoon.
The Warriors, who remain in first place in the Northeast-10 with
the win, have won eight of their last nine matches, with three
regular season games remaining.
Domohowski notched an unassisted tally, her third of the season in
the 34th minute. Two of her three goals are game-winners this
season. Gabby Gramprey (Brockton, MA) got the
assist on the goal.
Shannon Rowan (Fair Haven, NJ) made the single
goal stand up as she stopped five shots in goal, including a
second-half penalty shot, for the shutout victory. Merrimack
outshot the Penmen 11-8. Rowan has not allowed a goal in her last
three matches.
The Warriors (10-2-2, 8-2-1 NE-10) host Assumption College Tuesday
night at 6:30 p.m. Before the game, the team will honor its four
seniors as part of Senior Day.
