NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The Merrimack women’s soccer team picked up its third straight win, defeating Le Moyne College 4-2 Saturday afternoon at Warrior Field.

The Dolphins scored just 2:52 in on a lob from Christina Harrison, but the Warriors rallied for three first-half goals in 21 minutes, led by the play of Jackie Vickers (Norwell, MA) and Gabrielle Gramprey (Brockton, MA).

Vickers evened the score at 10:26 as she took a pretty feed from Gramprey off a three-on-two break and knocked it in the open net for her second of the year. Nine minutes later, Jessica Peacock (Hopedale, MA) headed in her second collegiate goal off a Kerri Domohowski (Saugus, MA) corner to give the Warriors the lead. Gramprey capped off the first-half scoring, getting her team-leading 10th of the year on a breakaway off a perfect lead from Vickers.

After the Dolphins cut the lead to 3-2, Jessie DeGraan (Braintree, MA) added an unassisted tally, gathering a loose ball after goaltender Amanda Abbatiello could not secure the rebound.

With six regular season games remaining, the Warriors have won five of their last six matches and are one game out of first place.

Merrimack (7-2-2, 5-2-1 NE-10) hosts Southern Connecticut Saturday at noon at Warrior Field.
