NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Gennifer Roy (Granby,
MA) tallied a career high 19 points, leading Merrimack to
a 68-41 victory over Le Moyne College Thursday night at the Volpe

The win snaps the Warriors’ four-game losing streak dating
back to December 6.
Merrimack came out firing, jumping out to a 9-3 lead behind seven
points from Amanda Shannon (North Andover, MA).
They led 25-12 with 5:37 to go in the half, forcing the Dolphins to
call for time. The Warriors, who got 12 first-half points from
their senior captain, forced 17 Le Moyne first-half turnovers. The
Dolphins made just 5-of-24 shots in the first half, four of them
from behind the arc. Roy added eight first-half points, while
Tiffany Colon (Lawrence, MA) tallied six points
and five boards.
The Dolphins cut the lead to seven at 39-32 midway through the
second half, but Merrimack responded immediately, using a 20-2 run,
that featured 17 points from players other than Shannon to put the
game out of reach. Twelve of the 17 points came off three-pointers,
with Roy getting six points and Casey Miller (Fairbanks,
AK) tallying five during the run.
The Warriors finished with 14 three-pointers in the game, a season
