Mens Cross Country Takes Third at Shacklette Invitational

MANCHESTER, NH – The Merrimack men’s cross country
team raced to a third-place finish Saturday morning at the
Shacklette Invitational.
John Lawrence (Peabody, MA) was the Warriors’ top
runner, finishing fifth overall in 28:00. John Doherty
(Chelmsford, MA) was ninth in 28:17, while Harry
Mullin (West Hartford, CT) placed 12th in 28:40.
Saint Rose won the team race with 36 overall points, with Bentley
second, three points behind. Merrimack was third, with Saint Anselm
fourth, Assumption fifth and Southern New Hampshire sixth.
Merrimack is idle next weekend before competing in the Codfish Bowl
on September 26.
