
COLCHESTER, VT – Adam Holmes finished
ninth overall, leading the Merrimack men’s cross country team
to a fourth-place finish at the Northeast-10 Championships
Saturday.
UMass Lowell finished first out of 14 schools, with Stonehill,
Southern Connecticut and Merrimack rounding out the top four.
Holmes finished in 25:28. Other top Warrior runners included
Jefferson Welch (19th, 26:25), Nick
Santoro (21st, 26:28), John Doherty
(41st, 27:22), and Chris Stanwyck (67th, 28:15).
Holmes was a second-team NE-10 conference honoree for his efforts, while Welch and Santoro were named to the third team.
Ruben Sanca of UMass Lowell captured the individual event.
The Warriors will compete in the Northeast Regionals on November
9th.
