Welch and Holmes Lead Men’s Cross Country
BOSTON, MA – The Merrimack men’s cross country team,
led by Jefferson Welch and Adam
Holmes, placed 33rd overall at the New England
Championships Saturday at Franklin Park.
Welch placed 81st in 26:02 with Holmes finishing 84th in 26:04.
Other finishers included Nicholas Santoro (177th,
27:02), John Doherty (240th, 27:57), and
Chris Stanwyck (257th, 28:24).
UMass Lowell captured the event with UNH and Brown finishing second
and third.
Cross Country hosts its Alumni Meet next Saturday at 10 a.m.
