Men’s Cross Country Captures Shacklette Invitational

MANCHESTER, NH - The Merrimack men's cross country team, ranked sixth regionally, continued its excellent start to the season winning the Shacklette Invitational Saturday morning.

Adam Holmes won the event with Jefferson Welch, who won last week's event at Amherst, finishing second. Holmes ran in 27:07.1 with Welch at 27:42. Nicholas Santoro placed fifth while Chris Stanwyck was 20^th.

Saint Rose was second behind the Warriors, while Assumption was third.

Cross country is idle next weekend before taking part in the Codfish Bowl on September 27^th.
