Men's Cross Country Finishes Eighth at Northeast Regionals

BRONX, N.Y. – Jefferson Welch led the Merrimack Men’s Cross Country Team to a eighth-place finish Saturday afternoon at the Northeast Regionals hosted by Adelphi University.

Welch finished 28th overall in a time of 34:18.1.

Freshmen Daniel Fidler and Nicholas Santoro finished second and third for the Warriors in 39th and 40th place overall, while sophomore Michael Sweeney placed 44th.

Stonehill College captured the meet while NYIT’s Evans Kigen finished first individually.
