Men's and Women's Cross Country Compete at New England Championships

BOSTON  -  The Merrimack College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the New England Cross Country Championships Saturday at Franklin Park.  Jefferson Welch led the Warrior men's squad placing 129th in a time of 27:18, while freshman Nick Santoro was right behind him in 157th at 27:44.

On the women's side, Laura Beatty (209th) and Alison O'Brien (216th) were the top finishers.

Brown University captured the men's race, while Quinnipiac won the women's.

The Warriors will run in the Alumni Meet next Saturday.
