Mens Tennis Falls to #1 Concordia 5-0 in Regional Finals

FLUSHING, NY – Fresh off its first-ever NCAA tournament
victory, the Merrimack men’s tennis team fell to top-seed
Concordia (NY) 5-0 in the east regional final Saturday morning.
The Warriors, who won a school-record 14 matches and advanced to
the Northeast-10 championship for the first time ever, finish the
season 14-6. They are one of two Merrimack athletic programs to win
a NCAA tournament game this season.
Concordia cruised to victory, defeating the Warriors in doubles
8-3, 8-2, and 8-1, before closing out the match with a 6-0, 6-0 and
a 6-2, 6-0 singles wins.
Concordia advances to the Sweet 16 which will be hosted by Rollins
College in Florida.
