Seaward, Rajpal Earn Weekly Honors

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – John Seaward (Pomfret, CT) was named the Northeast-10 Player of the Week, while Rishi Rajpal (New Delhi, India) earned Freshman of the Week honors Monday.

Playing in #3 singles and #1 doubles, Seaward concluded his final regular season with a 7-1 record last week, including a 4-0 mark in singles play. He finished the regular season a perfect 10-0 in conference singles action, all but guaranteeing a spot on the all-conference team.

Rajpal picked up six wins in eight matches last week playing in the #1 singles and #2 doubles positions. He finished the regular season 6-1 in singles conference matches.

The Warriors (12-3, 9-1 NE-10) host Saint Anselm in the Northeast-10 Quarterfinals on Wednesday at 3 p.m. Merrimack is ranked fifth in the east region and has it eyes set on a second-straight NCAA Tournament berth.
