Men's Soccer Not Selected to NCAA Tournament

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The Merrimack men’s soccer team
was not selected to the NCAA Tournament on Monday.
Led by All-Conference first team selection Tiago Dalboni
(Medford, MA), the Warriors finished the regular season in
fifth place before losing to Le Moyne in penalty kicks in the NE-10
Quarterfinals. Merrimack started the season 8-1-2 and was ranked as
high as 13th, but is just 1-2-2 in its last five. They have not
played since November 2.
Playing arugably in the deepest region, all-conference second team
and rookie team selection Robbie Sabadoz (Ottawa,
ON) leads the Warriors with nine goals and 22 points.
Dalboni has added five goals and 13 points, while third team
honoree Wayne Sygrove (Yorkshire, England) tallied
six goals and six assists for 18 points. Rob Pedra (South
Hamilton, MA) has started 16 of 17 games in net and has a
1.04 goals-against, a .793 save percentage and five shutouts.
