Men's Soccer Travels to Le Moyne for Northeast-10 Quarterfinals Sunday

SYRACUSE, NY - The Merrimack men’s soccer team, seeded fifth in the conference, will travel to Syracuse Sunday to play fourth-seeded Le Moyne at 12 p.m. in the Northeast-10 Quarterfinals.

The Warriors finished the regular season with a 6-1 win over Stonehill, giving them a conference record of 7-4-2 and an overall record of 10-4-3. Le Moyne finished just ahead of Merrimack in the standings, posting a conference record of 9-3-1 and an overall record of 12-4-2.

Sunday’s quarterfinal match is a rematch of last season’s quarterfinals, in which Merrimack prevailed 2-1 in double overtime. It will be the second meeting in less than a month between these two teams, the first coming in the form of a 2-1 Le Moyne win in Syracuse on October 4. Tiago Dalboni scored Merrimack’s lone goal, as the Warriors played a man down for most of the second half.

If Merrimack can pull off the road win, they will either travel to top-seed UMass-Lowell or host eight-ranked Bentley on Wednesday.
