Cannata 1st among NCAA Goalies, 4th Overall in Hockeys Future Draft Preview

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Goaltender Joe Cannata
(Wakefield, MA) is ranked first among all NCAA goaltenders
and fourth overall in Hockey’s Future 2009 draft preview that
focused on all collegiate players who are undrafted.
Three goaltenders were listed among the top-10 prospects, with
Kieran Millan of Boston University ranked ninth overall, five spots
behind Cannata. Minnesota forward Jordan Schroeder was ranked
first.
Cannata, who had a 2.35 goals-against-average and a .918 save
percentage as a freshman last season, is also the highest-ranked
player from Hockey East.
The NHL Draft will be held on the June 26 and 27 at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Two other Warriors, incoming freshmen Stephane DaCosta (Paris, France) and Kyle Bigos (Upland, CA) are also garnering draft consideration.
