Karl Stollery Named to Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team

WAKEFIELD, MA – Defenseman Karl Stollery (Camrose,
Alberta) was named to the Pro Ambitions Hockey East
All-Rookie Team Wednesday.
Stollery is the lone defenseman on the squad, which consists of BU
goaltender Kieran Millan and forwards Chris Connolly (BU), Gustav
Nyquist (Maine), Steve Qualier (Northeastern), Casey Wellman
(UMass), and David Vallorani (Lowell).
Stollery, who was named Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week on March
9, tallied 15 points (five goals, ten assists) in 27 conference
games, tops among all freshmen defensemen in Hockey East and tied
for ninth among all defensemen. The Camrose, Alberta native posted
11 of his points on the power play, which ranked tied for fourth
among all Hockey East blue liners.
He is the first Warrior to make the All-Rookie team since
Rob Ricci (Brampton, Ontario) made the team in
2005-06.
Stollery will be honored along with the rest of the team at the
25th annual Hockey East Awards Banquet Thursday night.
