Karl Stollery Named Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week

WAKEFIELD, MA – Karl Stollery (Camrose, Alberta) was named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week Monday.

Stollery netted the game-winner with 24 seconds left in overtime to give Merrimack the thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Massachusetts on Senior Night at Lawler Arena.

He finished the regular season tops among freshmen defensemen in scoring in Hockey East games with 15 points. Stollery is first among all freshmen and fourth among all defensemen in power-play points with eleven.

Merrimack finished the season in ninth place, out of last place, for the first time since 2003-04.
