Duncan Named ECAC First-Team All-Star

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Junior All-American Darren Duncan (Briarwood, NY) was named to the ECAC All-Star first team.

Duncan, who was also an NABC preseason All-American, was a 2009 State Farm Coaches' Division II All-American, and a Daktronics All-American third team selection.

Duncan, the first All-American in Merrimack men’s basketball history since 1983, led the Warriors to the NCAA East Regional semifinals for the first time since 2000, leading the conference in scoring and assists. He ranked second nationally with 230 assists.

Duncan is one of two Division II point guards to be named a finalist for the Bob Cousy award, given to the top point guard in the country in all collegiate divisions. The lone captain on a Warrior squad that posted a 21-9 record, he was a Northeast-10 All-Conference first-team selection for the second straight season.
