NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The Merrimack men’s basketball team’s four-game winning streak was snapped by two-time defending Northeast-10 Champion Bentley University 91-68 Tuesday night at the Volpe Gym.

The Falcons led the entire game while dominating the paint, outscoring Merrimack 42-24 down low.

The second half was much of the same as the Falcons scored the first 10 points to take a 51-25 lead, while Mency was whistled for his fourth foul just 59 seconds in. By the time he returned at the 15:24 mark of the second, the Warriors trailed by 31, 60-29, and the game was out of reach.

Mency finished with a game-high 25 points in just 29 minutes, while Duncan added 16 points and eight assists but was 5-for-17 from the field. He entered Tuesday’s game ranked second in the nation in assists per game. Wayne Mack (Paterson, NJ) added nine points, all in the second half.
