Live Stats

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The Merrimack men’s basketball team takes on Assumption College in a big matchup Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Volpe gym.

The Warriors, picked to finish second in the Northeast-10 preseason poll, defeated St. Thomas and Mercy at the Lowell Tip Off Classic last weekend. Assumption, picked third in the preseason poll, is 1-1 after defeating New York Tech and losing to Bridgeport.

Preseason All-American Darren Duncan is just 56 points shy of 1,000 career, while freshman Wayne Mack led all scorers with 20 in the win over St. Thomas. Last year’s Northeast-10 Freshman of the Year Darin Mency tallied 23 in the rout of Mercy on Sunday.

Merrimack is looking to return to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in its history and for the second straight season.

Following Wednesday’s game, the Warriors will take on UMass Lowell in a conference game on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Lowell before returning home to take on Southern New Hampshire on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
