Anne Rounce, a 2007 Merrimack graduate, completed her second second at Merrimack with the biggest one year turnaround in program history.  With five wins in her first year, Rounce won a program-record 13 in 2009 and also took her team to the Conference semifinals for the first time in school history.  For engineering an eight-game improvement and national ranking as high as No. 8, she was recognized as the 2009 Division II Field Hockey Coach of the Year on November 16, 2009.

Named the Merrimack head field hockey coach on April 16th, 2008, Rounce guided the 2008 Warriors to a 5-14 record, led by Northeast-10 All-Conference rookie team selections Victoria DeLacey and Stephanie Heasman.     

Rounce, who spent the 2007 field hockey season as an assistant coach with the Warriors, played for four seasons at Merrimack, graduating with a degree in math and elementary education. She has worked at a number of camps in the New England area and successfully coordinated the first Merrimack alumni event in 2008, bringing back 17 alums of the field hockey program.

A South Windsor, Connecticut native, she was a team-captain in 2006, while posting two assists and firi ng 28 shots in 17 games. She finished her Warrior career with five goals and nine assists (19 points), while starting in 60 of the 72 games she appeared in. A two-year captain and recipient of the Team Leadership award in 2007, she was named the team MVP in 2004 and 2005.

Rounce currently resides in Andover and also teaches in Lawrence.

Kara Napolitano

Entering her first season at Merrimack as assistant field hockey coach, Kara Napolitano is a 2009 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Psychology.

Napolitano was a four-year starter on the UNH field hockey team and served as the cornerstone of the defensive and offensive penalty corner units.  Napolitano was also selected to the America East All-Rookie Team in 2005 and the inaugural recipient of the UNH 'Marisa Didio Extra Mile Award' that season.

Napolitano is also a graduate of nearby Waltham High School, where she lettered in Field Hockey, Track & Field, and Basketball.

For the Waltham Hawks, she was team-captain in 2004. Napolitano recorded 36 goals and 16 assists in her high school career. She was also a recipient of the Robert Connors 10/24 Captain's Award.

Napolitano is currently a Teacher's Assistant in Special Education at Bedford High School and resides in Waltham, Massachusetts.
