Entering her first season at Merrimack as assistant field hockey coach, Kara Napolitano is a 2009 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Psychology.
Napolitano was a four-year starter on the UNH field hockey team and served as the cornerstone of the defensive and offensive penalty corner units. Napolitano was also selected to the America East All-Rookie Team in 2005 and the inaugural recipient of the UNH 'Marisa Didio Extra Mile Award' that season.
Napolitano is also a graduate of nearby Waltham High School,
where she lettered in Field Hockey, Track & Field, and
Basketball.
For the Waltham Hawks, she was team-captain in 2004. Napolitano
recorded 36 goals and 16 assists in her high school career. She was
also a recipient of the Robert Connors 10/24 Captain's Award.
Napolitano is currently a Teacher's Assistant in Special Education
at Bedford High School and resides in Waltham, Massachusetts.
