Otis Named Division II Freshman of the Week Again
NORTH ANDOVER, MA – For the third time this fall, freshman Jen Otis (Penacook, NH) has been named the Division II Field Hockey Freshman of the Week by womensfieldhockey.com.
Helping Merrimack to a single-game scoring record seven goals in a
7-2 win over Assumption, Otis tallied a hat trick in just three
first half shots for the Warriors.
With a team-leading 12 goals on the season, Otis ranks tops in the
league among freshman goal-scorers, while she ranks second among
freshman in points behind teammate and classmate April
Daugherty (Lincoln, RI) (33 points) with 30 points.
The Warriors hope to record their first ten-win season in program
history on Tuesday, October 13 when they host Saint Michael’s
College at Warrior Field at 4:00pm.
