Bellmont, Watts Named Preseason All-American Honorable Mentions by CDS

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Offensive lineman David Bellmont (Melrose, MA) and wide receiver Jeremiah Watts (Clovis, CA) were named preseason All-American honorable mentions by Consensus Draft Services.

Bellmont and Watts are the second and third Warriors to earn this nod in as many years. Last year, Andrew Jackson (New Britain, CT) was named to the CDS preseason All-American team before earning first-team NFCA All-American honors.

Bellmont, a Northeast-10 first team honoree as a freshman, anchored an offensive line that allowed just 15 sacks in 2008, tied for fewest in the conference.

A Northeast-10 first team honoree in 2008, Watts tallied 72 receptions for 924 yards and nine touchdowns, while ranking tied for eighth in the nation with 7.1 receptions per game. His 92.5 receiving yards per game rank fourth nationally.

Watts will serve as one of four captains in 2009, along with Chris Laham (Westwood, MA), Bernard Cooper (Calumet City, IL), and Shane Brown (Wakefield, MA).
