Mike O'Brien Named D2Football.com National Defensive Player of the Week

NORTH ANDOVER, MA - Senior defensive back Mike O'Brien (Marlboro, MA) was named the D2Football.com National Defensive Player of the Week Wednesday.

O'Brien posted two interceptions in the fourth quarter win over Pace. His second interception came on Pace's final drive and halted their progress with 28 seconds left. O'Brien has posted five tackles with four of them being solo.

He is the second Warrior to earn D2Football.com national weekly honors, joining J.D. Wild (Martha's Vineyard, MA) who earned the same honor after forcing two fumbles against Bryant.

Merrimack hosts Saint Anselm Friday night at 7 p.m.
