J.D. Wild Named D2Football.com Defensive Player of the Week

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Senior captain J.D. Wild
(Martha’s Vineyard, MA) has been named the
D2Football.com Defensive Player of the Week.
Wild shares the national distinction with Dante Dunn of Wayne
State.
Against Bryant, Wild finished the game with eight tackles, but more
importantly two forced fumbles. Both forced fumbles came as the
opponent was threatening to score. Furthermore, the first of the
forced fumbles led to Merrimack's only touchdown in the game.
Wild joins Andrew Jackson (New Britain, CT) on the
honor roll list for week two, as Jackson was named the Northeast-10
Defensive Player of the Week after picking off two Bryant
passes.
Merrimack (1-1) hosts Assumption Friday night at 7 p.m.
